


Town Hall Museum
A significant part of Pingelly’s heritage story is the establishment of the newly revitalised Pingelly Museum and Historical Group. The committee was expanded and re‑energised in 2023 and has since made its home in the historic Pingelly Town Hall, located in the heart of the main street.
Through the dedicated efforts of its members, the museum proudly hosted the official reopening of the Town Hall on 23 September 2023, marking an important milestone for the community.
The Pingelly Museum and Historical Group is entirely volunteer‑run, supported by the passion and commitment of local residents, volunteer curators, and the Shire of Pingelly. Together, they continue to preserve and celebrate the stories, objects, and memories that shape Pingelly’s past and future.


The Town Hall now features a diverse range of historical displays that showcase the rich heritage of Pingelly. Current exhibits include:
Neil Gill’s Sulky and Buggy Collection
A remarkable collection of restored sulkies and buggies, generously donated by Mr Neil Gill. These beautifully preserved pieces of transport history are proudly displayed on the Town Hall stage.
RSL Collection of Soldier Profiles
A significant permanent display honouring local soldiers who served in WWI and WWII. This extensive collection shares the stories and service of Pingelly residents who fought for Australia.
Lost Pingelly Collection
A visual journey through Pingelly’s past, capturing the people, places, and moments that have shaped the town over time.
People of Pingelly – Past and Present
Celebrating the individuals who built the community and those who continue to contribute to its identity today.
Original Pingelly Telephone Exchange
An authentic piece of local communication history, offering a glimpse into the early days of telephone technology in the region.
War Memorabilia
A curated collection that preserves the memories and artefacts associated with Pingelly’s wartime history.
Local Honour Boards
Proudly representing generations of local achievement, dedication, and community service.
Pingelly Inventions and Creations
Highlighting locally developed innovations and the creative minds behind them.
Tool Evolution Display
An engaging display showcasing how tools have changed through the ages, reflecting advances in technology and local industries.
Rotational Displays
A series of changing exhibits that feature memorabilia, stories, and themes connected to Pingelly’s heritage, ensuring there is always something new for visitors to discover.
New volunteers are always welcome. No previous experience is necessary.
